Use the city’s separate manufactured-home application choices to confirm the home classification and receiving review. A modular application should not be selected simply because the home travels in more than one section.
Mobile and modular applications differ
Use the home's identification and construction documents to select the city's category.
Section count does not classify the home
Traveling in several sections does not by itself make the Modular Home application appropriate.
Carry the unit identity into the application
The Midland mobile and modular application directory lists distinct Mobile Home and Modular Home categories. Have the applicant use the home’s identification and construction documents when asking the city which path applies. Keep the same unit description in the sale records, receiving submission and transport request.
Obtain the current checklist for that selected category. A general residential-building drawing checklist is not proof that every listed item or site-built construction standard applies unchanged to a HUD-code home.
Request a Midland transport quote
Include the verified home category, section sizes and receiving application status.
Make the receiving status understandable
Before confirming pickup, ask the receiving contact what has been submitted, what the city has approved and which installer or trade details are still needed. Report those distinctions to the transporter rather than describing a newly started application as a completed permit.
The carrier also needs each section’s dimensions, the departure location and the actual access point at the Midland site. A transport quote does not determine the home’s legal construction classification or include installation, utility connection, foundations or lot preparation. Those receiving responsibilities and any road permissions must be addressed separately.
