The adopted Tomball development code requires a manufactured-home move-in permit before placement and a move-out permit before removal from the city. It identifies the landowner or agent as the applicant for these local permissions.
Applicant for both local directions
The code identifies the landowner or agent as applicant for the move-in and move-out permissions.
Identify which end needs the local permit
Section 2.05G of the Tomball adopted development code sets out the two directions:
- Arriving in Tomball
- Resolve the move-in permit before parking, placing or locating the manufactured home at the receiving site.
- Leaving Tomball
- Have the landowner or agent address the move-out permit before the home is moved from the city.
For movement between Tomball sites, give the city both addresses and ask which applications it requires for that particular relocation. Do not infer the answer solely from the distance traveled.
Plan the Tomball departure or arrival
Include both endpoints and the landowner’s move-permit status.
Do not hand the entire job to one permit
The code separately addresses inspection and occupancy. A move-in permit is not a completed installation, and a move-out permit does not authorize every road used after departure.
Tell the transporter who is handling the landowner’s paperwork and which items have been issued. Provide section sizes, both access points and the receiving contact. Setup, utilities and site preparation require their own arrangements; this transport quote does not supply those services or guarantee the city’s decision.
