Ask the transporter to classify the complete route before deciding whether Gillette's Structure Moving Permit is required. The city code separates the bypass-only, outside-destination case from travel on internal streets. For a qualifying movement, the application includes a route map and passes through city review.

Section 11-57 of the Gillette traffic code sets the two branches. A route described merely as passing through Gillette leaves out the distinction that controls this check.

Provide both endpoints and the home configuration. Ask the transporter to explain the proposed road sequence and any unresolved permit or measurement checks.
The route map goes to more than one reviewer
The code assigns application intake to the City Clerk and review to Police, Engineering and Electrical. The city permit authorizes the approved route, not an interchangeable journey. The Gillette Public Affairs page provides the current departmental entry for the Clerk.
If the pickup point, delivery entrance or road sequence changes, ask the mover to resolve its permit plan before dispatch. A revised price is not evidence that a revised route has been accepted.
Keep the load description attached to the proposal
Supply section count, available dimensions and photos showing roof projections and the equipment approach. Ask the provider which measurements remain provisional and who will verify them. Compare escort and route-review allowances on that same configuration.
This city-street process does not approve installation or occupancy at the destination. Agree where hauling ends and who will handle any receiving work. Leave scheduling conditional on the actual permissions and access arrangements.
