For a home moved to a city location other than a mobile-home sales lot or park, Farmington’s Chapter 17 calls for notice to the Building Inspector at least 24 hours before parking. Notice and permission to occupy are different steps.
Give the inspector a usable arrival notice
Section 17-1-8 of the Farmington manufactured-home arrival rules asks for the owner, exact location and approximate arrival time. Establish who will provide that information and update the receiving contact if the proposed transport schedule changes.
The chapter contains a licensed-park exception and the arrival provision identifies park and sales-lot destinations separately. That does not establish that every obligation disappears inside a park; ask the operator which unit-specific placement and setup arrangements remain.

Coordinate a Farmington arrival
Share the destination type, owner contact and requested arrival window.
Parking is not occupancy clearance
For locations within the chapter’s scope, the city also addresses occupancy permits and inspection of the home and site. Keep the arrival notice, installation arrangements and occupancy decision as separate entries in the receiving plan.
The carrier needs a location it can reach and a person authorized to receive the home. The owner and installer need the applicable permits and inspection sequence. A transport quote does not provide utility connections, site work or permission to live in the home, and local notice does not replace road-haul authorization.
